20 Years of Showing Up
Positive Impact has faithfully served South St. Petersburg for more than 20 years, meeting the immediate need for food while restoring dignity, sharing hope, and empowering our neighbors toward stability and long-term success.
Every Saturday, hundreds of families come through Tangerine Plaza for groceries. But what we've learned over the years is this:
"Food insecurity is rarely just about food."
It's connected to housing instability, transportation barriers, workforce challenges, mental health struggles, access to healthcare, financial hardship, and lack of community support.
That is why our vision is bigger.

We are working to establish the Positive Impact Center — a community impact campus designed to provide not only healthy food access through a dignified neighborhood market and Food Rx program, but also a collaborative resource hub where trusted partners can come together to serve our neighbors holistically.

A Grocery Store Experience — With Dignity
Imagine if food pantries mirrored the grocery store experience: roomy aisles, attractive lighting, and abundant fresh, healthy food choices. Imagine neighbors who feel welcome and can shop with dignity and convenience — who can secure groceries and also connect with healthcare, housing support, job training, or childcare. This is the future made possible through your support.
Food Rx & Nutrition Program
A Healthy Food Farmacy
Imagine a St. Petersburg Farmacy program that connects patients with the healthy foods and education they need. It is not a medical pharmacy but a healthy food farmacy that partners with medical and nutrition experts to educate and empower communities disproportionately affected by diet-related sickness and disease.
Community Resource Hub
Where Neighbors Connect
Imagine a place where neighbors connect with trusted partners and access support services designed to strengthen individuals and families. Through collaboration with local nonprofits, organizations, and businesses, we help connect our community to resources that bring hope, stability, and opportunity.
Culinary Arts Center
A New Era in Hunger Relief
Imagine Positive Impact's new facility, updated for the next era in hunger relief. A new production kitchen where nutritious food is prepared — a place for families to enjoy a hot, healthy meal on-site or collect a meal to go. A banquet hall and on-the-job training for future chefs and hospitality workers. With campaign investments, our vision of owning a state-of-the-art facility will become a reality, serving as an incubator for personal growth and innovation.
